About Nat

Nat Gibson is the creator of the bestselling The Tooth-o-saurus book and Surgery Books for Kids series, which help young children prepare for doctors' visits and medical procedures by tapping into their greatest strength: imagination.

The idea for the series was born after both of Nat’s children underwent surgery as toddlers. Seeing how few resources existed to help kids (and parents) navigate those experiences in a playful, imaginative way, she set out to fill that gap. With warmth and empathy, her books aim to make children feel informed, supported, and above all – brave.

Nat lives in California with her family, one very sweet dog, and few wildly opinionated chickens: Eggatha Christie, Chick Jagger, Yolko Ono, and Hennifer.
